1:1 Respite

Our 1:1 Respite Care service provides safe, personalized supervision for children and youth with developmental needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and other developmental needs. This program is designed to offer parents and primary caregivers a temporary, supportive break, knowing their child is receiving attentive and meaningful care. Sessions take place in a structured environment focused on safe supervision, basic daily routines, and positive engagement tailored to your child’s needs.

• Caregiver Burnout: Needing a trusted, temporary break to rest, attend to personal matters, or spend time with other family members.
• Safety Concerns: Requiring an experienced provider to safely supervise a child who exhibits high-needs behaviors or safety risks.
• Need for Routine: Seeking structured companion care during evenings, weekends, or specific times of the week.
• Transition Challenges: Needing reliable support to bridge the gap between school, home, or community activities.

Depending on your child's specific routine, this service focuses on:

• Routine Maintenance: Supporting your child through their existing daily schedule, including meals and personal care.

• Can be safely supported in a 1:1 setting without frequent aggressive, self-injurious, or property-destructive behaviours.
