Developing essential motor, sensory, and daily living skills to promote independence and confidence

Occupational Therapy (OT) helps children develop the physical, sensory, cognitive, and self-care skills they need for everyday life. For children, these important "occupations" include playing, learning, participating at school, caring for themselves, and interacting with others.
Through personalized, engaging activities and interventions, our therapists help children improve their independence, confidence, and ability to succeed in daily routines, at school, and in the community. Whether it is getting dressed, using classroom tools, managing sensory challenges, or developing coordination skills, Occupational Therapy supports children in reaching their full potential.

Fine Motor Skills – Develop the hand strength, coordination, and control needed for handwriting, drawing, cutting, using utensils, and managing buttons and zippers.
Gross Motor Skills & Coordination – Improve balance, posture, strength, coordination, and motor planning skills needed for playground activities, sports, and everyday movement.
Sensory Processing & Regulation – Learn to better process and respond to sensory input such as sounds, lights, textures, and movement, helping children feel more comfortable and engaged in daily activities.
Self-Care Skills – Build independence with dressing, feeding, toileting, personal hygiene, and other daily routines.

Attention & Focus – Strengthen attention, organization, and task-completion skills to support learning and participation at home and school.
Body Awareness – Develop an understanding of body position, movement, and force to improve coordination, safety, and confidence.
Spatial Awareness – Improve the ability to understand and navigate space, judge distances, and interact effectively with people and objects in the environment.
Play & Social Participation – Enhance the skills needed to participate in play, engage with peers, and build meaningful social connections.

Our Occupational Therapy (OT) services support children and youth in developing the physical, sensory, and cognitive skills needed to perform everyday tasks. Whether navigating daily self-care routines, participating in classroom activities, or engaging in play, our evidence-based occupational therapy plans focus on breaking down barriers to independence. Therapists work collaboratively with families to build functional capacity and adapt environments to better suit each child’s unique needs.
